As I was finishing my week of observation, I excused myself from the class I was attending to momentarily use the restroom. I enter the Chow Hall of the Ranch to use their bathroom and became the next lucky individual to find that whoever used the bathroom prior plugged the toilet! But wait.... that isn't the awkward part. I look for the plunger to do my Christianly duty of cleaning up doodie and find..... nothing!! I go to the kitchen to find Johnny, the principle, talking to Mark, one of the Dorm dad's, and asked them where I can find a plunger. Mark tells me two possible locations to look at and thus my mission started. I went to both places to only return empty handed. I asked them again to find another place on the Ranch that has a plunger and Johnny said that I can just walk into his apartment, go down the hallway, and find the plunger in the restroom at the side of the toilet. I walk down to the staff apartments and do exactly what Johnny tells me to do. I walk into his apartment, almost trip over a table because of my clumsiness, go down the hallway to find the bathroom door closed. I decide to knock to see if anybody is in their and as I do, I hear somebody crying in the bathroom. Now, Johnny is married to Amber, one of the teachers, and Amber is expecting a new addition to their family, so I put two and two together and thought that she possibly is having an off day. But I have a mission and the plunger is needed, so I proceed to tell her through the door with such awkwardness, "Ummm... Johnny sent me to your apartment..... to pick up a plunger." No response but soft crying. At this point, I feel so awkward because Amber is crying in the bathroom and I have no idea what to say except, "Ummm.... I think I am just going to let you be. Ummm.... sorry!" I take off and go back to Johnny telling him that his wife is crying in the bathroom and that is why I don't have a plunger. Johnny tells me, "Amber is teaching right now. That is our dog Buster!" Now I'm thinking, AWKWARD!!!
